WildStar Megaservers Are Coming This Week!

Megaserver technology is coming to WildStar, and we want to make sure you are ready. By moving players to Megaservers, we will be able to increase player capacity, give you more people to play with, and allow you to fully enjoy all WildStar has to offer. Below is a brief overview of what this means for your account. For a more in-depth FAQ, check out the knowledge base article below!

Frequently Asked Questions
When will the Megaservers be introduced?
  • Megaservers will be rolled out October 15. During this time, we expect game servers to be down for 12-24 hours. Please keep an eye on the forums and social media for downtime status updates. Because of this duration of downtime we will be compensating players 1 day of game time as well as 30 Boom Boxes. Both will be provided to players in the next couple of weeks.
How are the Megaservers going to work?
  • After the transition, there will be one PvP and one PvE Megaserver realm per Data Center (North America and Europe). After the merge, all characters that were on PvP realms before the change will be on your region's PvP server, and all the characters that were on a PvE server will be on your region's PvE server. North America/Europe region locking will still apply.
Will I be able to transfer from PvE to PvP realms or vice-versa?
  • No. Once the Megaservers are live, the plan is all realm transfers will be disabled. We currently have enabled free realm transfers between certain realms until Megaservers are live. For more details on free server transfers, click here for EU and here for NA.
What will happen to my character name?
  • We will be introducing surnames into WildStar to prevent any duplicate names. The first time you log into WildStar after the Megaserver merger, you will be prompted to add a second name - and if you like, you can change your original name at this time as well. During the server merger, we will be deleting any characters that are below level 3 and have not logged in at least 30 days prior to the merger, in order to remove duplicate names.
What happens if two guilds from different realms have the same name?
  • The oldest guild (based on created timestamp) will keep the name. All the other guilds with the same name will have to have something adjusted to their name to make it temporarily unique.

About the Weary Warriors

The Weary Warriors Gaming Guild has the single purpose to forge and strengthen camaraderie between a group of mature game hobbyists. The company of good people becomes the best part of all of the games we play. While we strive to excel in the games we play with or against each other, excellence of character will always be more important than gaming skill.
